Here is one of those majority photographs blog entries I mentioned when I began. We arrived yesterday afternoon in Budapest via train from Vienna. With sunny weather that we had yet to see in a few days we made our way to Rady street, a pedestrian walking mall with countless numbers of restaurants. It’s really interesting how each restaurant sends a waiter on to the street to act as a “salesman” of sort attempting to get patrons into the restaurant or seated on the patio. We sat on the “patio” area of a restaurant, which happens to be on the street across from the restaurant. After enjoying a great meal we headed out for a quick walk along the Danube. While I am still learning how to use this new camera I bought before the trip, a few of the 100 or so pictures I took turned out to be “blog worthy”. I hope you enjoy them.

Jason,
Glad to hear that you are having fun. The video of the pope was very interesting. It is ashame that you all have had so much rain. Hope it gets better. And Budapest looks beautiful as well. Keep the pictures coming.
Love and Miss you 3!!!

Is that a "Lazy Evening in Buda Looking at Pest"?
Your nighttime photos are great! The flexibility of digital photography is remarkable (especially after you've studied the manual -- ugh!). Another digital plus is that taking one more picture is free, but then you have one more to review to determine which pics are bloggable.
Keep up the good work. :-)
Jason-
The weather here has gotten cool and rainy today, too! So fall is coming. Sounds like you are able to communicate with the locals and then find some interesting spots. I've enjoyed your descriptions of your travels. And I was amazed at the video you posted. Very cool! Take care.
It's so beautiful there. I've come to love European night snapshots. Was the food good, since I know you treasure cuisine so much. Did you have to pay extra for Patio seating? That's the thing that confuses me... paying more to sit on the terrace, or some desired spot in Europe...
A night view of the palace was one of my fav sights while I was in Budapest. You'll have to give me a copy of that amazing pic - Brett's camera was stolen so our pics were from a crappy disposable camera!
Glad you are having such a great time! :-)
(P.S. You trying the beer?!?! Sooo good!)
Good morning Jason, Monica, and Matt,
Here in Highlands Ranch it is 9:30am and we have not heard from you in a while. I see that today ends your first journey and you are flying to London tonight to move into your flat. Would love to see some pics from your last part of the journey.
Love you and miss you guys
Mom
